Pope John Paul II is the second longest serving pope who served for 27 years from 1978 – 2005 until the age of 84. He had performed two miracles in his lifetime as a pope and thus becomes St John Paul II.

The Healing of Sister Marie-Simon Pierre

 

Sister Marie-Simon-Pierre, 47 was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2001. As Pope John Paul II died in April 2005, her condition worsened as she was struggling to walk, write or function as a normal person would. All the members of the Little Sisters of Catholic Motherhood in France and Senegal began praying to Pope John Paul to intervene with God to heal her. On June 2^nd, 2005, she woke up early in the morning feeling completely healed. Archbishop Feidt who heard of the alleged healing conducted a thorough one year investigation. The investigation included testimony from physicians, canon lawyers, theologians, a psychiatrist and a handwriting expert to ascertain the legibility of the patient’s handwriting as an indicator to the progress of the Parkinson’s disease. Thus, on December 19^th, 2009, Pope John Paul II was proclaimed venerable by Pope Benedict XVI and subsequently beatified on May 1^st, 2011 after the Congregation for the Causes of Saints attributed one miracle to him, the healing of Sister Marie-Simon-Pierre.

The Healing of Floribeth Mora.

In Costa Rica, on a warm spring afternoon, Floribeth Mora was in her bed waiting to die due to an inoperable brain aneurysm. Her gaze fell upon the photograph of Pope John Paul II in a newspaper and suddenly the image of the Pope proclaimed “Stand Up – Don’t be afraid”. Her aneurysm disappeared that day which has been confirmed by the doctor and the Catholic Church. Hence the second miracle paved the way for Pope John Paul to be declared Pope St John Paul II or Saint John Paul the Great. The second miracle was approved on 2^nd July 2013 which was confirmed by Pope Francis just two days later. To be declared as a Saint, two miracles must be attributed. Hence, Pope John Paul II was canonised on 27 April 2014.

A fist class relic of St. John Paul II contains a drop of the pope’s blood on a piece of cloth are on permanent display here in the Church of Divine Mercy, Sungai Ara, Penang, Malaysia. It had been handed after the custodians of the John Paul II Foundation in Rome approved the relic to be released here.

Antiques and Gold pieces found in Probolinggo, east Jawa , Indonesia.

Who would have thought that beneath a paddy field that one would find gold and antiques waiting to be found. Pieces from gold chain, bangles, kitchen utensils and spear have been found in this area which spreads for 50 sq meters wide prompting interest among relic hunters who come in daily to try their luck by digging in this area.

Other than the relics, brittle human bones were also found suggesting that the place could have once been a burial ground? Many traditions in the ancient times have the practice of burying ornaments including utensils used by the deceased and even gold. Some traditions believed that the ornaments would be used later by the deceased in the “afterlife” and in some cases it is pure sentiments that the body should not be sent off empty.

Until today, historians have yet to determine the relics belonging to which era but the locals believe them to be at least a few hundred years old. Since there has not been any confirmation from the Indonesian authorities on these findings, the area is still not quarantined and the relic hunters are free to search for their luck. Meanwhile, the artifacts found have already found their way home to the house and shops of antique collectors after being sold for a good price.

The powers of Om Mantra and the sound of Sun

The Om mantra, also known as the pranava mantra is which means that it sustains life and runs through our breath or prana energy. It is a root mantra from which all other mantras emanate in Hinduism texts. Patanjali, the father of Yoga in the wrote in the yoga sutras that when we chant this mantra repeatedly while contemplating on it, our thought becomes focused and one pointed. The experience of chanting this mantra can give a peaceful, calming and tranquil effect.

This sound has the ability to transform the water structure from a weak structure to a well structured into a six-pointed star water crystal form when the sound is blasted to vibrate on the water as can be seen from the images below:

Satelite images of Ramayana bridge believed 17 500 yrs old

The following are images captured by NASA Satelite believed to be the Ramayana bridge as depicted in the ancient Hindu scriptures connecting between India and Sri Lanka. According to the story, the bridge was built by an army of Lord Rama in pursuit of Sita who was captured by the evil Ravana.




The bridge is made of chain of shoals estimated at 30 km. The curvature of the bridge seems to suggest that it was built by man. Perhaps, the undercurrent may have done some movement of the shoals bringing about the curved outlook of the bridge. It draws intrigue regarding the ancient technology or methodology employed that seems to pass the test of time.




The Floating Rock
The rock below weighing 15Kg is believed to be what is remained of the enormous sized rocks once used in the ancient days to build the bridge connecting to Sri Lanka which floats in the water. Could this be held proof that the Ramayana bridge which calls for more research? This rock was brought in from Hanuman Temple from Rameshwaram, India. It was told that during a massive cyclone in 1964, many stones from Ram Setu was found scattered near Rameshwaram.

Are there anymore mysteries or artifact lying under the seabed yearning for its discovery. This may be an opportunity for archeologist to study about this civilization from the days of shore. Perhaps history can teach us something that we have forgotten over time. Only time will tell.

Dog versus Shark

Today, something more of a light stuff. It is unusual to see a dog wanting to pound on a shark. Which of these two species have a larger mouth opening with more number of teeth. The answer is obvious. The common between the two among many, a pair of  and a tail comes instantly to the mind. However, the differences between the two are too many to mention. It may get boring if one begins to get on the anatomical details.
